This is a movie based online slot  themed on the Film Hell Boy. For those that have not seen the film, HellBoy is the son of satan who is sent down to create havoc on Earth, fortunately he is put into good hands and therefore helps the good guys defeat the bad. The actual symbols are more comic based than that of the Hollywood film but nonetheless it easy to make out what is what. Upon viewing the paytable you can see that there is a great looking “Underworld Bonus” and Wilds that provide players with free spins.

The “Underworld Bonus” looks to be the most interesting as it states that we have to fight against other dangerous creatures, find friends, and proceed to the top level Chamber of Fire. Getting that far may take time but we shall give it a go. We started the game on the lowest stake per spin possible, 20 cents per spin. The maximum is £20 per spin. As always we started with the max numberof win lines for maximum effect. We very soon discovered that we could gamble each win by either 2 or 4 as many of Microgaming casinos do.

The music and sounds effects were good, nothing too heavy but a little dramatic to put you in the right mood. My knowledge of the film is slightly rusty so you will have to forgive me for not naming the characters. Some of the symbols are your standard J,Q,K,A then you have the guy who fathered Hell Boy who is a scientists of sorts with white hair (Einsteinesc), the alien that looks like a fish in the film but looks like a blob with a plug in this, another bloke that could be the character Rasputin.

We don’t quite know how it happend but from the free spins we got, we were also given some super wilds which produced a win of $470 on a 20 cent stake! This was brilliant and really got us a great boost for playing on other slots for the future, plus a few drinks of course.

The amount of the win, or how it came about as there was so much going on on the screen, all we know is that a few super wilds came up and then we were told big win, the rest is history. As this was only 20 cents per spin and we had just won a lot of money we felt it necessary to continue to see if we could get the special feature, although knowing that we had just won big for such a small stake we still wanted to give it a shot.

You couldn’t have written it better, 4 spins of the reels later and we were on the bonus screen known as Underworld. We were given the choice of 5 tunnels, either they were blocked, meaning no prize or one of our team mates was inside one of them meaning we get a better bonus. We clicked on the bottom left tunnel and found the fish guy and were paid $3.60 for getting it right. We then moved to another section where this time the tunnels were blue.  We went for exatly the same tunnel as previously and got a monster who Hell Boy shot straight away, this won us another $1.20 and another chance, this time on 5 doors at a castle type building.

On the purple level if you like, we selected the middle door which was blocked, Hell Boy slapped himself on the head and we were taken back to the main screen a total of $5.60 better off from the bonus. Had we chosen correctly we may have won a lot more but it was good to give it a try and we at least have some screen shots of the Underworld levels.

Having won over $480 on the Hell Boy slot machine our rating could be slightly bias, but seriously it is a really good machine, that rewarded us well and there are some good bonuses that get you involved in the game.
